President Lai Ching-te, Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che, and Minister of Education Cheng Ying-yao also showed up at the venue amidst the cheers of the scouts, adding excitement to this National Jamboree held in the year of Tainan 400.

The Jamboree was postponed during the pandemic and thus Mayor Huang expressed that Tainan is thrilled to host the National Jamboree after 6 years. President Lai Ching-te remarked that this is his first time participating in the event as the President of The General Association of the Scouts of China. He hopes that the scouts of China (Taiwan) will uphold their scout spirit and connect with the world while jointly promoting scout activities so that we can all have a better understanding of one another and prosper together.

In addition to experiencing the scout module courses and activities scheduled in this National Jamboree, the participants also enjoyed a one-day tour of Tainan City. They visited tourist spots such as Anping Fort, Anping Tree House, Anping Old Street, and the Confucius Temple as well as the Traversing, Tainan: A Journey Through 400 Years Exhibition, organized especially for the Tainan 400 event, where they learned more about the charm of Tainan, Taiwan’s cultural capital.
