Mayor’s Remarks:
1. Today, the central government announced details of economic stimulus voucher scheme, and it is expected that local governments will follow up with more promotions. Concerned bureaus should act in line with the policy, and propose promotional mechanism with our own characteristics. Deputy Mayor Wang should lead bureaus to integrate promotional plans of different businesses and stores to further expand the effects. All bureaus should cooperate and do their part in stimulating economy.
2. Thanks to the efforts of all district offices and frontline workers, Tainan did a pretty good job in the fight of COVID-19. Please keep up the efforts and continue to deliver fruitful results in the promotion of stimulus scheme. Concerned bureaus should take proactive steps to propose stimulus plans.
3. The central government set to loosen public health restriction on June 7. All bureaus should review restrictions imposed during the pandemic as soon as possible, and with the lead of Deputy Mayor Hsu, discuss whether those measures should be lifted or maintained. The final conclusion should be announced on Friday.
