Mayor’s remarks:
1. Amid recent weather volatility, I ask all public works units to take advantage of clear days to complete the repair and maintenance of rain-damaged roads, culverts, and traffic signs. Colleagues and volunteers of the Environmental Protection Bureau and Public Health Bureau must pay special attention to removing water containers and filling potholes to eliminate potential breeding grounds for disease vectors and mosquitoes.
2. The second and third readings will be held on 18-19 August. I ask that relevant bureaus and departments provide accurate responses to councilmembers’ queries and clear explanations of government policies. We must focus on garnering the support of the city council and eliminate misunderstanding among councilmembers and the public.
3. I look forward to positive wentan sales this year, as well as the subsequent marketing of white pomelo, red pomelo, and other related products. I implore relevant bureaus and departments to double down on market expansion.
