Mayor’s Remarks:
1. I want to thank concerned departments for promptly responding to issues raised by the public during the Lunar New Year holiday. Accidents such as fires and car crashes are inevitable even during the Lunar New Year holiday. Although such accidents occurred in Tainan, the damage was relatively mild, and no lives were lost. Again, I'd like to thank the concerned departments for their hard work.
2. Temperatures have dropped lately, with significant temperature differences daily, which presents a major threat to people's health. I ask the Social Affairs Bureau, Police Department, Fire Department, and other concerned departments to monitor the temperature and ramp up visits with at-risk groups, such as homeless people, senior citizens who live alone, and other vulnerable populations. Let's ensure that no harm befalls them during this cold front.
3.I ask the Public Works Bureau to accelerate the introduction of immigrant workers in the new construction projects at the Army Artillery Command Center's Tangshan Barracks and New Hushan Training Grounds. Please ensure to expedite and complete the transfer project. Delays are unacceptable. Additionally, the Agriculture Bureau should complete the construction of the multifunction education park in Syuejia District according to schedule. No more delays should occur. Special building materials should not be used to ensure that these projects are completed as soon as possible. I also ask the Environmental Protection Bureau to inspect the softball field near the multifunctional education part, and the Sports Bureau should renovate and optimize the venue.
