Mayor’s Remarks:
1. Due to the impact of climate change and continuous heavy rainfall, the Dengue fever epidemic has intensified significantly. Therefore, the current consensus is to strengthen larval control and implement environmental inspections while emptying, brushing, and cleaning of any water containers. I urge all departments to continue investing substantial manpower and resources into larval control efforts. I sincerely thank all council members for their active participation and oversight.
2. The continuous heavy rainfall has caused damage to roads and public infrastructure, resulting in unclear road markings. I ask all district offices to proactively assess and identify these damages and collaborate closely with the Bureau of Transportation, Public Works Bureau, and the Water Resources Bureau to expedite repairs. The municipal government will allocate disaster preparedness funds to accelerate restoration and repair work. During the repair process, concerned departments should prioritize public safety to prevent unnecessary accidents.
3. I ask the Water Resources Bureau to ensure that construction work for the rainwater box culvert construction project at the T-junction on Detang Road in Rende District is completed on schedule and to a high standard of quality.
